After a year of actionf Cancer, we started planning our trips for the winter, and Mexico is at the top of our List. After finally visiting Cartagena in Colombia, this will be another article. Why Visit Mexico?
Many people ask Why Visit Mexico? Every time we mention that we are planning to spend the winter there, people tell us that they are “worried about our safety and would prefer to go somewhere else”, but with a little planning, a trip to Mexico is great and we are going to share some reasons to visit Mexico now!
When is the best time to visit Mexico?
The best time to visit Mexico depends on what you are doing and where you want to go. In general, the dry season is the best time to visit, from November to April, when the weather is warm and sunny, perfect for a beach holiday in Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Puerto Vallarta. It is also the time to visit cultural and historical sites such as Chichen Itza and Teotihuacan without the complaints of heat and rain.
If you want to watch cetacean, the high season in Baja, California, is from December to April, but in Yucatan it is from June to October.
If you want fewer people and lower prices, May to June and September to October are good times to visit, with pleasant weather and a more relaxed trip. Keep in mind, however, that the rainy season from May to October can lead to heavy downpours in tropical areas, but this rarely affects your travel plans.

Mexico has a rich and diverse cultural heritage that spans thousands of years, so history buffs will love it. You can explore ancient civilizations like the Mayans and the Aztecs through incredible archaeological sites. Chichen Itza, one of the seven new wonders of the world, has made the Pyramid of El Castillo a must for any traveler. Teotihuacan, the “City of the Gods”, is another highlight with its impressive solar and lunar pyramids.
In addition to these famous sights, Mexico has many more historical treasures to offer. Palenque in Chiapas has beautiful Mayan architecture and sculptures surrounded by the jungle. Monte Albán in Oaxaca offers breathtaking views and a glimpse of the Zapotec civilization. In addition to these ruins, you can visit UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the historic center of Mexico City and Xochimilco, where colorful boats float through ancient canals.
And cultural festivals and traditions are a big part of Mexican heritage. Dia de los Muertos (day of the Dead) shows how Mexico makes passed away. Elaborate altars, colorful decorations and parades. Independence Day and Cinco de Mayo cannot be missed either.
2. Great Beaches
Mexico has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with coasts on the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea for all travelers. Cancun, on the Yucatan Peninsula, is famous for its white sand and clear turquoise waters, perfect for Sunbathing, luxury resorts and water activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving on the large Mesoamerican reef nearby.
On the Caribbean coast, Playa del Carmen is located on the Riviera Maya with beautiful beaches, ideal for exploring marine life, visiting ancient Mayan ruins such as Tulum or taking a ferry to Cozumel. For a more luxurious experience, Tulum offers eco-chic beaches, trendy beach clubs, boutique hotels and the famous Tulum ruins right on the beach.
On the Pacific side, Puerto Vallarta has beaches surrounded by mountains, ideal for whale watching, deep-sea fishing and exploring the old town. Cabo San Lucas in Baja California is famous for its spectacular landscapes, luxury resorts, nightlife, the iconic El Arco rock formation and activities such as snorkeling, sailing and sport fishing.
